Hello to all, I am a University student such as yourselves and I am working on a class project that requires me to ask members of environmental organizations or groups questions concerning their membership of these groups. I would like to know if any of you would be willing to answer some of my questions to help me out?
* Are you a member of an environmental organization or group?
* If you are a member, what things do you do within your daily lives that helps the environment in any way? Vegetarianism? Organic foods? Hybrid cars? Recycling? Protesting?
* If you are not a member of any groups, what do you do that helps the environment?
* What are your opinions of environmental groups, organizations or activists?
If anyone would be willing to answer some of these questions, I would appreciate it.
Thank you for your time and energy,
Snowflake
(P.S. Your forum is really nice.)

Hi Snowflake! Thanks for writing! Sounds like a pretty interesting study you're conducting. Would it be possible for those interested to contact you with our answers through your e-mail (just so as not to clutter the Guestbook)? Thanks again, and I hope you get a good turnout for your survey.

Hi, I am a faculty member in the Music department and would like to come to the NAU Wildlife Society meetings. Can anyone give me a schedule for the Spring semester so I can make plans to attend meetings and events?
Thanks very much,
Nancy

Hi Nancy. Unfortunately we just had our first meeting on last Thursday, but we'll be having plenty more (they always fall on Thursdays at 7). =)
Usually we have a meeting every two weeks, but during what would be our next scheduled meeting is a field trip that many of the Wildlifers will be attending. The trip will be to New Mexico for the NM and AZ Wildlife Society conference.
So, while it hasn't been officially scheduled yet, my guess would be that the next meeting will be two weeks after that (about a month from now).
Our Wildlife Society Webpage (http://dana.ucc.nau.edu/~wild-soc/) will be updated with meeting dates as soon as I have them. Also, if you'd like I can add you to our mailing list and you will receive updates as to meeting times. I'd just need your email for that. =)
I look forward to meeting you though at further meetings and I hope you can make them!

Hello all,
What a fantastic idea you guys, I'm very much looking forward to some great discussion on these message boards.
I'm an alumni of the University of Arizona student chapter, and it is great to see our state's TWS chapters representing so well with fresh and pro-active ideas such as this!
Cheers,
Mike Iorio Vancouver, Canada

Hey Mike! Thanks for posting! Look forward to talking with you more on the forum. We actually met once at the AZ/NM TWS conference in Gallup a couple of years ago. Many of us will be making the pilgrimage there once again this week, so hopefully we'll see you there (allthough Canada is an awful long ways away!). Welcome to the forum, and thanks for the thoughtful comments!

Hello WildMaven, your forums are truly amazing! We all have got a lot in common. We have tried to form a diverse community here where everyone is welcome, from Wildlife Biologists to the general public, from hunters to animal rights advocates, so I hope you continue to post here and bring your unique perspective to the table. I have inadvertantly spoken with you on the proboards forum before under the name Oldmancoyote, I believe it was a poll on who had the better forum, and I chose yours for its uniqueness. Anyway, thanks for stopping by, and sorry it took so long to respond.
