Hey there Crow! Thanks for the compliments on the website and poem. I actually wrote the poem with a song in mind. If I still had my guitars, I would have had music to go with it already (did I mention that I hate my ex-wife) but I needed the cash to pay the bills. Anyways, I do a lot of writing, mostly with songs in mind, but I've always been embarassed to let other people read it. I am decent with the guitar, but not as good as FredBear. I would have pick at FredBear's guitar when he offered but I haven't played in over 4 months. I miss it! Music is great therapy, especially when you playing and writing it. Thanks again for the kind words! Will chat at you later. Got to go get the dogs some food now before they decide to have me for dinner.

What is happening fellow Raymond Ranch campers!!? Crow, that is a great band name! I have absolutely no musical talent but I could try to pound away on the skins!
See Crow I told you Chromius' web site was pretty cool. Those poems that he wrote are awesome!! One has a lot of pain and anger in it and the other is all about sharing good times (and I hate his ex-wife too!!).

Silent Don,
Stilll no word on Hay Lake. Hopefully we'll know more next Thursday. But the talk went really well. We had about 49 people show up, mostly folks from the public, which was a great change from the norm. There seemed to be folks from all walks of life too. Ted Mckinney was quite the comedian and had the audience laughing often, but he said some real important things, like for instance we really have no idea how to manage anything at all. We are just trying it out the best we can. All I wish is that more learning from mistakes that have happened would take place. It seems sometimes wildlife management is stagnent.
And I think I saw Jason scribbling down notes too, so your in good hands man.
PS: What the hell...I'll hate your ex-wife too!

Howdy Crow! Jason has also informed me that he had taken notes; however, he has not share much with me yet. Thanks for the Hay Lake update. Also, thanks for hating the ex! ;D I'm trying to think about something interesting to chat about, but my brain is mush. I'm having a work overload. Maybe I'll have something to chat about after my orientation at Adobe Mountain. Take it easy! YO! FredBear, how you doin'?

:-*Eaglewoman, it's nice to know that we are entertaining you! Feel free to join in. ;D We could use some assistance while trying to get a grasp on these highly sensitive topics being tossed around. Here you go! Have another moose. ;D It's my favorite! Heck, have a couple more. ;D ;D So let me ask you this, do you think this is what our friendly administrator had in mind while getting the forum up and running? ;D ;D

Hey I would like to take this opportunity to share a sighting that I had this morning. I was watching some birds this morning while the truck was warming up. I know that a couple of them were sparrows. The other one was a black bird about the size of two of my fists. I wish that I knew what kind of bird it is. (Please allow me to refresh your memories in regard to a comment a few posts ago. JAY IS THE SMART ONE!) Anyways, the black bird was quite entertaining. There was a sparrow sitting on the ground and the black bird was all puffed up and running circles around the little sparrow. I watched the black bird do this for about 5 minutes. Excuse me for a moment! I am going to do some research to find out what type of bird was entertaining me this morning.

I do believe that the black bird that you are talking about was a Grackle! They are sometimes brown as well, and they usually have white or light colored eyes! They are pretty entertaining too!!! They are pretty common around Phx. especially in your neighbor's tree, that one tree, on the corner of 31st I think it is, that is always chirping. Eaglewoman, I am glad that we are cracking you up!! That is the usual response to Don and I talking to each other! ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D (I had to get in on this moose smiley thing!!!)

Damn.....I am glad you made it FredBear. We speak the same lanquage, man. These river murmmurs, so familiar to me, like the scent of an old friend or a postcard from the ocean. I used to think I knew the language of the river, like it was something I learned myself, but really what happened was the river seemed to know me and it let me on some of its secrets, you know?
Hey you all, maybe the bird was a Starling? They sometimes get confused and think they are other birds, like a Sparrow. Hey, that's OK though, sometimes I think I am a pretty good student too, until I get the report card! Its easy to be confused in this confusing world, and as old E. Vedder once said, its no crime to escape, especially escaping ourselves. So strange Blackbird that thinks its a Sparrow (I lift my cold and bitter coffee high into the air) here's to you! (I take a swig).
....man, I need to cut back on coffee.....

After talking to Stinger and having another sighting this morning, I have come to the conclusion that it must be a grackle.
I had my orientation today at Adobe Mountain Rehab Center. It was pretty cool. When we took the tour of the facility, we were allowed to go into most of the enclosures (I hate referring to them as cages). Totts is one of the raven's they have and he keep running around saying,"good morning Totts". It was pretty funny. I was buzzed by the Kestrels several times and the Swainson's just sat there squaking at me.
The orientation lasted about 6 hours. It was cool, because I want to help out, but it was really boring. The coordinator spent all day telling us that we would, for the most part, be cleaning enclosures and feeding. I, truely, believe that she could have covered everything in about 3 hours. I am hoping that I will get trained for handling the eagles, hawks, and falcons at presentations. That would be way beyond Super Cool!!!!!! ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
