On Wednessday March 25th, at a dripping spring and hanging garden along the West Clear Creek Trail #15 (right before the first creek crossing coming from Bull Pen), there were an insane ammount of Western Tiger Swallowtails hanging from the foliage and kicking back in the mud. I have seen huge gatherings of them before, but never like this. And as Laila and I walked up they errupted into the sky, filling the air with yellow and black, colliding into each other and us as well like butterflies often do as they flutter about.
