For one of the first times in posting after a Raymond Wildlife weekend I do have a Bison sighting! However, Friday night a couple of us were driving around collecting firewood and looking for sheds when we saw 3 buck Pronghorn and about 9 Elk and then Saturday after our workday some of us went to try and find the Bison when we saw a herd of about 8 or 9 Pronghorn! It was really cool to see that some of the work we allhave done is being put to good use by the Pronghorn!!!

Got bit by a Pallid Bat the other day. I caught her in a net, and she was so tangled. I had to put my hands near her sharpies! I had gloves on, but boy she was sharp. Have a tiny scar...and I hope I have it forever. Man I'm gonna have some great stories for my grandkids!

Howdy Wildlifers!! It's been quite some time since I've been on the forum. It is nice to have internet service at home again. I was out on a midnight adventure about a week ago at Utah Lake. As we were driving along, we saw two does strolling through the surrounding grassland. We also spotted about a dozen barn owls; let me say they are very brave! We were able to get within a few feet of some of them. I took some pictures, but they did not come out to well since it was so dark out. There is my first sighting since I've been in Utah. I've been out exploring in the Uinta National Forest, but no sightings were made.
Retraction: This was not my first sighting in Utah. In March, I went to the Great Salt Lake for a hike with the puppies. As I exited the trailhead back into the parking lot, I approached the car and let the puppies in. When I came around the back of the car, I looked up and there was an old Bison grazin' in a grassy patch in the middle of the parking lot; about ten feet from me. That was a pretty wild feeling being that close to a bison.
Utah is very beautiful, but I sure do miss hangin' out with all youse guys!!

;D ;D ;D Hey hey hey! Where is everybody? Yesterday, we went camping in the Wasatch National Forest and we made an awesome sighting. ;D ;D I was about 15 yards from 2, that's right, 2 moose! ;D ;D It was absolutely amazing. They were not really scared. They knew we were there and they just stood there looking back at us like we were idiots. I got some pretty descent pictures. About fifteen minutes later, we came across a good size whitetail doe and then another doe a few hours later. Needless to say that it was an awesome trip.

In the last week I've seen two skunks, two raccoons, and a porcupine! It's been a good week for small mammals. =)
